Giving Some Love Back to the Blog
Dad was over for dinner the other night and he mentioned that Julie has been faithfully updating the blog with some regularity. I realized that I've been terribly remiss in that regard, especially since I've been on Facebook. (I thought you were going to get on FB, Julie!)
Here's a whole bunch of photos and stuff that I have to share:
Kate helped organize a fundraiser farm dinner for an organization, Invest in Kids, that she's been volunteering for. The dinner was fantastic and raised over $60,000!
Reid joined me this year for the annual Kenosha Pass to Georgia Pass fall foliage Mt. Bike ride. It's a biggie with many thousand vertical feet of climbing in 20+ miles above 9,000 feet. He did great and had a good time.
Fall has been gorgeous, but now we have several inches of melting snow. The cooler weather has been making Queso happy!
We made our annual pilgrimage to Fruita for some riding and camping with friends. Some rain early in the trip made the trails extra grippy. Boden missed out on this trip due to the nasty cough that's been moving through the family, but we'll get him out camping and riding in the spring.
As November approaches, we're looking forward to ski season and getting back down to Durango to visit the Bowers. A large portion of the day today was devoted to inventorying ski gear and chasing down missing items. The little ones are off the the Halloween Journey at Shining Mountain Waldorf School.
